SPETTRO FAMILY - New Split 7" With Novy Svet Out Now

Italian experimental horror electro act Spettro Family just released a split 7" with Austrian dark folk duo Novy Svet. It was released by the label Black Horizons and the release is limited to 500 copies, with sleeve printed with silver and gold ink on black linen card stock. The faces on the cover are of Jarboe and Jessica Way (Worm Ouroboros, Barren Harvest) and are photos that were taken at the 2013 Stella Natura Festival. The inspiration for the layout theme comes from a specific scene in Ingmar Bergman's Persona.
Spettro Family is a new project that has quickly gained attention, and rightfully so, as he has his own unique Mediterranean take on cinematic prog horror scapes. The Viennese duo Novy Svet is making music after an extended silence, and this 7" is the first new material available besides a very scarcely distributed yet excellent split 7" with Susa24 (member from Santa Espina). Below you can listen and watch to a short video teaser for Spettro family's track "Hotel Del Salto". In other news, Spettro Family will embark on a European tour this October, more news coming soon.
