CAUDA PAVONIS - Bassist Leaves The Band

British goth rock/dark wave band Cauda Pavonis have announced that their bass guitar player will leave the band. Band has recently published their fifth album Peace Through Superirior Firepower on 22nd April 2012 via AF-music. Here's the bands official press statement: " Our bassist Rob Quick will be leaving Cauda Pavonis in August and will be seen on stage for the last time at The Gasworks in Bradford, UK on the 31st August 2012; where we will be supporting Inkubus Sukkubus. Rob joined the band in 2008 and has played with Cauda Pavonis on two studio albums and live on the last 4 tours including our much vaunted 10 Years Tour.
Rob had originally made plans to leave the band after his wedding, in September, to settle down and raise a family and was looking to stay with us until the end of 2012. However recent events in his work life mean that he' ll be moving to London and he feels that such commuting would be detrimental to himself and the band. Rob will stay with us until the end of August, when he was originally taking a break for his wedding. We wish him well in everything he does in the future.
He leaves the band at a high point in our history; where we are touring with and supporting some amazing bands and having produced arguably our best album to date. We are in discussion with a stand in for the gigs until the end of 2012 and will be looking to recruit a new bass player for our 15th anniversary celebrations in 2013." Link
