VÀLI - New Video Online, Sophomore Album Out In August

Norwegian one-man acoustic folk band Vàli has released a brand new video clip for new song "Stein Og Bark". Vàli recently signed a five album contract with Auerbach/Prophecy Productions and bands sophomore album entitled Skogslandskap will hit the stores on 30th August. Debut album, Forlatt, was released back in 2004 in a limited edition that was quickly sold out (to be re-released on the same date as Skogslandskap). Word got out rapidly among connoisseurs of the genre that this was an album that was a match for genre classics such as Kveldssanger by Ulver or Where At Night The Wood Grouse Plays by Empyrium. It took six years until their next sign of life: two songs on the 2010 compilation Whom The Moon A Nightsong Sings. Now, finally, their eagerly anticipated sophomore Skogslandskap (english: "Wooded Landscape") is ready for release. In the world of Vàli, time seems to go by much slower than in ours. Vàli himself is very pleased about the praise he received from the international press, but he points out the poor conditions of the recording sessions for Forlatt. Hence, he gladly looks to the future: "On the coming releases, I will probably use more instruments than before, in order to give my music more means of expression." When asked what his goals with Vàli are, the musician answers with modesty. "I just want to make marvellous music." Watch the video below. Link
